This project is an interior renovation of a 1960s ranch style home located in Houston’s Shepherd Park Plaza. The clients wanted a more modern layout with emphasis on connectivity between the kitchen, living and dining areas. HCB Designs responded by creating a completely new layout for the kitchen that opened it up to the living room and provided for a dedicated butler’s pantry which gave direct access to the dining room. Other key design features include: converting the existing 8′ living room ceilings into cathedral/vaulted ceilings, raising the ceilings throughout to 9′, removal of the corner fireplace and replacing with furred out wall accents and custom, built-ins, and complete renovation of the hall bathroom.
